Trying to figure out what else to paint to max use if I go that route. I wish they made a smaller can so it wasn't so much $$. It's like a two part epoxy in a can of some kind that mixes when you push this tab down.
WebTC-W3 lube hangs on tenaciously to LUs. Take off the anodes and examine for corrosion of case metal underneath. If the painting can wait, make it a winter job along with normal LU maintenance. Drain and pull LU and work on it on the bench. You can closely examine for more paint blister corrosion which is there. I dunno about a hire job, but I bought the matching paints and clear from colorite website and did a major touch up job after my lower unit had an affair with a crab trap. It matched neearly perfect and has not peeled a single flake and its been over two years.
