Dropping down from the ridge into the blast zone reminded me of my Grand Canyon experiences. You have to drop into the belly to experience the hidden gems. It’s hard to imagine this area now known as Pumice Plain once a thick forest. WebLoowit Falls is framed by two small drops on Eagle Creek itself. Rounding a corner at a rocky viewpoint, you can see ahead to the High Bridge, which spans a spectacularly narrow, sheer-sided gorge. The fourth cabled section of the trail takes you along a cliff 120 feet above the creek.
