I hear kershaw heat treats their "super" steels to a slightly lower RC for average users to make it a bit tougher as they know their blades are well used . Web30 mei 2024 · It seems like there is a general move to 20cv as a higher end production' steel for several American knife companies (Hogue, Kershaw, now Gerber), in much the same way we see Spyderco using s110v. I'm excited to see if Spyderco will jump the line again and move their 'high end' up to Magna Cut. Web20cv should take and hold an edge like nobody's business.I would lower the edge bevel angle, make sure to hit the apex on each side when sharpening, and then raise the edge angle a tad higher than the original one and put a micro bevel on it with light alternating strokes with a diamond stone then strops.
