WebJun 21, 2024 · IMO, you will never get it straight! As mentioned, if you have a driveline shop close, they will cut out the bad, or completely disassemble and weld a new piece between the yokes! It would be as good as new! Probably a bit cheaper than a new one too! To my eye, it looks like that one ear has a BFH mark on it from either an attempt to remove a frozen joint or an attempt to straighten a bent ear. It also appears the the slinger is bent as well. Who knows if they used a press or not? We (you) weren't there and can't prove it either way.

After a little skeg file work and having the prop fixed I headed out only to discover the prop shaft is bent (noticeable vibration between idle and getting on plane). Not wanting to compound the problem, I want to get this fixed ASAP.
