WebForced diversity for me is when a film uses minorities, not to tell a story, but to gain the favor of the public. But when a film tells a story, that is, in turn, to gain public favour, and in turn, the public's money. All means to the same end. And how does that make it "forced". The idea of "forced diversity" really only exists in ethnically and culturally homogeneous areas of the country, or among people who just don't spend a lot of time in the real world and only consume media.

It also comes up with two arguments that people use to complain about diverse casts that contradict each other. WebForcing diversity is as harmful, if not MORE, than not including. I don't want you to go out of your way to make sure you add a gay/trans/black/disabled character to your story, I want you to add one if it's RELEVANT and MAKES SENSE. Don't make so-and-so gay just because 'WOO DIVERSITY' if it doesn't have relevancy or add to the story.
