WebI tried margin on Fidelity for a month, had ~$350k on margin and kept trying to negotiate a better deal with multiple phone calls. All I got in the end was 5.5%. After that I moved the account and now my blended rate is ~1.2%. WebFidelity margin rates are outrageous. I have payed over 3000$ this year in margin interest which is outrageous when interest rates are so low. I am thinking of moving over to Interactive Brokers which has a max 1.58% margin interest. I'd rather not do this as I like using Active Trader Pro to trade.
