WebThis was the way I also followed before I switched to an MMO mouse. All the keys near WASD gets bound to a skill. So to me that was 1-5, F1-F4, Q-E-R-T-Y, Z-X-C-V, F, G plus ALT, SHIFT and CTRL in combination. For both ways, it is imperative you practice until you don't need to stare at the hot bar. WebHere's my PLD hotbars, targeting myself. So first off, my keybinds go 1-6, Q, E, R, T, F, and G. Hotbar 2 is all of those with Shift pressed (Shift+3), and Hotbar 3 is with Alt pressed (Alt+3). Hotbar 4 has what I believe are the important cooldowns to keep track of, and I try to not look further down than that while in a fight. WebThis is my current setup. Open slots are for abilities I haven’t learned yet. II’ll probably change it around again once I learn Plentiful Harvest so I can have Arcane Circle right next to it. But for right now this is working out really well for me! I thought about it but for me it doesn’t really help until I can use them in combat.

My set up is a bit weird in that I map out a few keys and then swap the entire hotbar (via alt+1, alt+2, or alt+3).
