It took about an hour to do on my Larson 174. The cable I believe had gotten a tad bit of water in it and it rusted over time. Easy fix. You might have the wrong link arm connecting the cable to the motor. A photo might help. Lets see. Disconnect link arm from cable end. Position motor straight.
